Producer of the Week - Furlan

Posted by Jen Saunders on

Prosecco is one of the most exciting, value for money categories in modern wine.  Typically light, fresh and slightly sweet, with a creamy texture, Prosecco is bringing sparkling wines into the everyday drinking market, and making bubbles for celebrations far more accessible.  It should definitely not be put in the 'cheap fizz ' category though, the quality of the wine when you trade up to a pricier Prosecco is a far more enjoyable experience than that to be found in the cheapest of Champagnes.  Add that to the Italian style in both bottle and label and it's no surprise that Prosecco sales in the UK market have doubled in the last year!
We have put together a Prosecco Discovery box containing 3 excellent wines from Furlan.
2 x Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore Millesimato Extra Dry
2 x Conegliano Valdobbiadene Frizzante
2 x Spumante Rose
£99.75 (usually £105), with free local delivery in the Birmingham area
The Furlan winery is in the hands of third generation winemakers, brothers Moreno, Amedeo & Alberto.
The vineyards run between the highly regarded Conegliano Valdobbiadene, Treviso and Piave areas giving these wines their unique fresh and delicate fragrance.
